Tofu, Mizuna and Tuna Salad

 
 

Ingredients

1 container Firm Aloha Tofu

1 bunch mizuna*

1 can (5 oz) tuna

4-8 cherry tomatoes

Ingredients for Soy Sauce Dressing                                                         

½ cup soy sauce

4 tablespoons vinegar

4 tablespoons vegetable oil

4 tablespoons sesame oil

2 tablespoons mirin

Cooking Directions

1. Drain tofu lightly and cut into bite-size pieces.

2. Cut mizuna into easy-to-eat size lengths.  Drain tuna and break it up into small pieces.

3.  Arrange all the ingredients in a salad bowl. 

4.  In a bowl, combine the ingredients for the dressing, mix well, and pour over the salad right before eating. 

What’s Mizuna?*

Mizuna is characterized by its serrated green leaves.  It is used in a wide range of dishes such as salads, stir-fried dishes and nabemono (one pot dishes).  It is also rich in nutrients.
